Our Goals to Achieve God's Calling

Our goal is to extend the ministries, witness, and outreach of SS. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church.

Our goal is to provide facilities that meet the needs of our congregation, both now and for the future.

Our goal is to look for God’s guidance and direction, seeking the ways in which God wants to work through each one of us.

Expanding Ministries

  • A sanctuary with seating for 400 people.
  • Room to grow for programs from seniors to youth.
  • Additional classrooms for all ages.
  • A meeting area for fellowship, large gatherings and special  events.
  • A full kitchen to service church functions.
  • A small chapel with the original church altar and windows.
  • Efficient office space.
  • Future staffing (Pastor, support staff).
  • Full, functional nursery.
  • Larger, accessible restrooms.
  • All on one level – handicap accessible.
Our plan for the new facility is a simple one. It is neither elaborate nor extravagant. Our goal is to be inviting, functional, and attractive. With vision, time, effort, and God’s continued provision, the possibilities are limitless. We are asking you to pray confidently, commit boldly, and give sacrificially as we work together On Holy Ground.

What Can I Do?

Pray Constantly: Seeking God’s will is the foundation for On Holy Ground. Pray for your church, its members, and its ministries. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to take decisive steps in your own journey of faith.

Get Involved: See what is happening and what God is doing in our church. Learn everything you can about our ministries, our vision, and our project.

Share Your Faith: Take this opportunity for worship and for study to deepen your faith.  There is a whole congregation of friends for this journey! Listen for and learn from the faith of others. Find ways to share what you are learning, encouraging others with what you are excited about and with how you see God at work in your life and in the life of this church.

Make Your Own Prayerful Pledge Decision: Turn your prayers and faith into action. Make a giving decision that honors God and that is right for you. Faithfully and joyfully join your gift to the gifts of the rest of our congregation on Sunday, October 28, 2007.

What Is Our Financial Challenge?

INDIVIDUALLY the challenge is for each of us to find the unique ways we can help to achieve our goal for our church. For some it means a weekly or monthly offering beyond our current level of support for the church. For others it means gifting a tangible asset to the church (stocks, bonds, property, etc.). For still others it means transforming time, talent, or ability into a financial gift to invest in the future of our church.

TOGETHER we want to go beyond the “milestones” that will be set in the near future to gauge our commitment progress.

Individual giving requires a sincere and prayerful consideration of what God would have each one of us give in order to further His kingdom. We believe that God is calling each of us to a deeper level of faith in Him. He is asking each of us to give sacrificially during our three year campaign. He is asking us to forego other desires for the benefit of the kingdom.

God has given each of us different resources to draw upon as well as different levels of faith. Each believer cannot give the same amount.  We should prayerfully consider the level of our sacrifice. We should challenge ourselves to give to the point where we know it is God who will meet our future needs. Please do not just think about how much you could give. Find out what God wants – ask Him!

Our Prayer:

"Dear Lord, what would
You do through me
to accomplish Your
vision for our church."

I pray that the eyes
of your heart may be
enlightened so that
you may know
what is the hope of
His calling.
