| Our Plan to
Answer God's Calling
Our current church building has served
our congregation well for a great many years. Today, however, we have a
vision of a larger, more versatile and more functional space.
This vision is born not only out of necessity,
but also out of faith – faith that God will continue to use us as a congregation
to reach the Copper Country region for His kingdom, His glory.
A site plan and a floor plan of the new
facility provide a visual reference to the design ideas proposed for the
new building. While plans are not yet completely finalized, we can envision
a sanctuary large enough for present attendance levels and future growth
of our congregation.
Efficient, functional office space is included
along with ample classroom/meeting space, a full nursery area, and a multipurpose
facility with a full kitchen. These features will allow for present needs,
future growth of our present programs and anticipated outreach and growth
to further the Lord’s kingdom in our area.
On Holy Ground
A three-year capital stewardship campaign
called On Holy Ground has begun to raise the additional funds for
this building project. Thus far, we as a congregation, have been richly
blessed by God by the sale of the remainder of the property we purchased
along with a very generous gift, which together amount to about $2 million
dollars to be applied to our project.
On Holy Ground encourages each person
to prayerfully seek God’s will in his or her own life and by inviting three
year pledges above and beyond regular giving to the church’s annual operating
budget.
Our journey of faith, On Holy Ground,
hopes to raise much of the money needed to underwrite the new building.
Only a sacrificial sense of giving can help lay such a foundation for the
future. Gifts will always differ in proportion to each person’s resources,
but we can share an equal sense of calling, commitment, and sacrifice.
Together, with God’s grace working in and through God’s people, we can
meet real costs with real commitments.
Together, led by God’s will, we can reach
farther by faith than we ever dreamed. |
